Hospice focuses on patients in the last phases of life-limiting illness and provides support and care for them and their families. It:
Hospice volunteers perform a variety of important tasks, including administrative duties, spending time with patients and providing rest for family members.
No medical background is required – only a willing heart. The role requires compassionate, caring individuals who would like to bring, love and care into the lives of the terminally ill and their families.
Before volunteering, a background check will be completed. Also, volunteers must also have proof of flu shots.
The hospice program welcomes volunteers of all ages.
Hospice volunteers are required to complete 12–16 hours of training.
To sign up for hospice training, complete an application linked below and follow the instructions for submitting.
