At Ballad Health and Niswonger Children’s Hospital, we strive to ensure all children are served and treated in a healthy and safe environment.

Our physicians have special training, experience and skills in evaluating children who may be victims of some type of abuse or neglect.

We also train professionals, parents and the community about the prevention, identification and treatment of child abuse and neglect.

Do you suspect child abuse?

Anyone can report suspected child abuse or neglect.

Reporting abuse or neglect can protect a child and get help for a family. It could even save a child’s life.

If you or someone you know suspects a child is suffering abuse, contact your local child protective services office or law enforcement agency, so professionals can assess the situation.
