Overview
Strengthen your heart after cardiac surgery, a heart attack or another heart condition by taking advantage of cardiac rehabilitation in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, through Ballad Health. You’ll benefit from supervised exercise, health education, peer support and one-on-one counseling that provide the tools you need to enjoy a full, satisfying life.
What Happens During Rehabilitation?
Expect cardiac rehabilitation to start during your hospital stay. You’ll learn about your condition and hear how to reduce your risk of future heart problems.
After you leave the hospital or get a doctor’s order, you’ll begin an exercise program designed just for you. You’ll complete about 36 sessions of physical activity with your peers in a group setting where medical professionals watch your heart rate and blood pressure to help you stay safe. You’ll also receive information on healthy living.
